Veteran Care

Veteran-Focused Care, Delivered with Honor

Many of the seniors we care for wore the uniform. That history shapes how care should be delivered — and it often means there is support available that the family has already earned and does not know about.

Caregivers matched for the person

Service leaves its mark, and it is not the same mark for everyone. We match caregivers with an eye to respect and understanding: comfort with military bearing and routine, patience with the subjects that are not discussed, and awareness that some noises, spaces, and times of night are harder than others.

For veterans living with PTSD or service-related injury, predictability and trust are not niceties. We prioritise caregiver continuity here more than anywhere else.

Help with the paperwork

Benefits that could fund in-home care regularly go unclaimed, usually because the process is opaque and exhausting rather than because anyone was ineligible. We will sit down with your family, help you work out what may be available, and point you to the right people to pursue it.

We are a care provider rather than a benefits agency, so we will not overstate what we can promise on eligibility or amounts. What we can do is make sure you know the questions to ask and are not navigating it alone.

The full range of care

Everything else Zion offers applies here — companionship, personal care, memory care, respite for a spouse who has been carrying it alone, and support after a hospital stay. What veteran care adds is the context it is delivered in.

Thank you, meant literally

Reliability, dignity, and a steady presence families can count on. That is the standard we hold ourselves to for every client, and we think it is the least owed to those who served.
