Work With Zion Care Services
Caregiving is demanding work that is too often treated as unskilled and staffed accordingly. We are trying to run this differently, and that starts with how we treat the people doing the work.
What we look for
Prior professional experience helps and is not always essential. What is essential is patience, reliability, and genuine respect for older people — including on the days when the work is repetitive or the client is having a hard time.
- Dependability — clients are counting on you being there
- Warmth and patience, particularly with memory loss
- Clear communication with families and with our care team
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transport for most roles
- Willingness to complete our screening and training before starting
What we offer in return
- Schedules built around your availability, part-time or full-time
- Consistent client assignments, so you build real relationships
- Training before you start and ongoing support after
- A care management team that answers when you call
- Work across the DFW metroplex, matched near where you live where we can
Honest about the work
Some shifts are quiet company and a shared meal. Others involve personal care, physical assistance, and sitting with someone through a genuinely difficult afternoon. Grief is part of this job over time. We would rather tell you that now than have you discover it in week three.
In exchange, it is work where you can see the difference you made by the end of the day, which is more than most jobs can claim.
How to apply
